Old Dominion University is set to receive a $15 million gift from Joan Brock, establishing the Joan P. Brock Institute for Nutrition Science and Health. This initiative aims to integrate nutrition deeply into medical education and research.
Joan Brock's Inspiration
A three-time cancer survivor, Joan Brock credits good food and exercise for her recovery. Her personal journey fuels her passion for this new program.
The Institute's Mission
The new institute will:

A Master of Science in Nutrition degree will launch, with the first students starting in Fall 2026.
