Her home health aide, Oluwanifemi Aborisade, is accused of beating her mercilessly during a dispute over changing bedsheets. Foye, who uses a walker and oxygen tank, tried to defend herself with a backscratcher, a desperate attempt to protect herself.

The incident left Foye bruised, in pain, and traumatized. Despite the attack, Aborisade initially claimed everything was fine when Foye's granddaughter called. It was only when she redialed that she heard Aborisade screaming profanities. Aborisade was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person. She pleaded not guilty and is being held on $25,000 bail.
