A Healthy Smile, But for How Long? Minnesota's Dental Health Ranking
Thursday, September 12, 2024
On the other end of the spectrum, there's West Virginia, which ranked dead last in dental health. With a smoking rate that's among the highest in the nation and only 49 dentists per 100,000 people, it's no wonder they're struggling. But is this a result of lack of access to care, or something more sinister?
So what's the takeaway? Should we be patting ourselves on the back for our relatively good dental health, or are we just getting lucky? And what can we do to ensure that our dental health continues to be among the best in the nation?
Think about it this way: just like a car requires regular maintenance to keep it running smoothly, our bodies require regular check-ups to keep our teeth healthy. So, make sure to schedule that dentist appointment and keep those pearly whites shining!
