A New Name for a Healthier Community
A Significant Change at UH Ahuja Medical Center
The South Pavilion at the UH Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood is getting a new name. It will now be known as the Carol and John Fountain Pavilion, thanks to a generous donation from Carol and John Fountain.
Part of a Larger Fundraising Campaign
This donation is part of the "Because of You: The Campaign for University Hospitals." The campaign has already raised over $1.7 billion, with a goal of reaching $2 billion. The exact amount donated by the Fountain family has not been disclosed.
The South Pavilion: A Major Expansion
The South Pavilion is a key component of a $236 million expansion project that added over 216,000 square feet of space. The expansion includes:
- UH Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute
- UH Cutler Center for Men
- Potash Women & Newborn Center
- Expanded emergency, imaging, and breast health services
Honorary Trustees
In recognition of their donation, Carol and John Fountain will become honorary trustees and join the UH board of directors. Carol Fountain has previously served as a trustee of the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Foundation.
