A Surprising Case of Brain Parasites in Timor-Leste

Meet a 28-year-old man from Timor-Leste who shocked doctors with a rare brain infection. This infection, called neurocysticercosis, is caused by a tiny worm called Taenia solium. It's usually found in places where pigs are raised and pork is eaten a lot. But Timor-Leste isn't one of those places, so this case was a big surprise.
