A Swedish Man Faces New Charges for ISIS Atrocity
Sweden, MalmoTuesday, May 27, 2025
The pilot's brother spoke out about the charges. He said it was hard for his parents to hear about this again. But he was glad that Sweden was seeking justice. The Swedish Prosecution Authority announced plans to charge Krayem. They also plan to charge other suspected ISIS members. The offenses happened between December 2014 and February 2015. Prosecutors say Krayem and others forced the pilot into a metal cage. One of them set the cage on fire. The pilot died from the fire.
Krayem was sentenced to 30 years in prison. This was for his role in the Paris attacks and planning an attack on Amsterdam airport. He was also found guilty of terrorist murder for his part in the Brussels attacks. He has been moved from France to Sweden. This is so he can face these new charges. The legal process is ongoing. The world watches as justice is sought for the pilot's brutal death.
