A Young Boy's Train Adventure Turns into a Fight for Survival
A young boy was enjoying his train ride, taking in the sights and sounds of the journey. He had been traveling since the morning, heading towards the east from the outskirts of Bangkok. The little one was so tired that he decided to rest his head on the tray table and doze off.
Suddenly, a loud noise jolted him awake.
His grandmother, Saitee Katpia, was sitting right next to him. She recalled that everything went black for a moment. When she regained consciousness, she felt like the train car was being squashed. She noticed blood trickling down her face and saw her 6-year-old grandson on the floor, trapped between chairs.
"My leg hurts, my leg hurts," the boy kept repeating.
Despite her own injuries, Saitee found the strength to pull him out and guide him to safety. The train car had derailed and had a huge gash in it. As she made her way out, she heard a man calling for help.
The Importance of Safety
Trains are generally safe, but accidents can happen. This incident reminds us that even the most routine journeys can turn dangerous in an instant. It's crucial to stay alert and know what to do in emergencies.
