AI and Movies: A New Era of Storytelling

NVIDIA's Jensen Huang had a clear vision: AI is changing the way movies are made. He talked about this at the 76th Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Awards. He said, “Computing’s changed. AI is now a big part of it. It'll change how we tell stories. ” He compared it to when Pixar’s ‘Toy Story’ came out and changed cinema with CGI. Now, AI is doing the same, opening up new ways to tell stories and captivate audiences. Adobe got awards at the same event. Their product manager, Erica Schisler, said, “Adobe believes in connecting people through creativity. We make tools for creators to tell their stories and reach audiences in new ways. ”

The ceremony also honored other innovators. Tom Ohanian and his team got an award for creating the Avid Multicamera System. Ohanian said, “Trust your instincts. When you see an opportunity for something big, go for it. Our motto was ‘results, not reasons. ’” Stuart Geman and his team also got an award. They created DRS Nova, a tool to restore old movies. Geman said, “It feels great to preserve classics. I saw two girls laughing so hard at ‘I Love Lucy’ that it moved me. That’s what keeps these shows alive. ”
