AI Comes to iPhones: Free Update Packs New Powers!

Apple has announced a big move: a free software update that brings AI to its iPhones. This update, called iOS 18, is meant to catch up with the latest tech trends. The iPhone 16 lineup, which went on sale last month, will get this update. Prices range from $800 to $1, 200. Even last year's top models, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, can use this AI tech. Apple's iPads and Macs can also get the update. Countries outside the U. S. will have to wait until next year. Apple tested the software for five weeks with iPhone owners volunteering to help. Siri, Apple's virtual assistant, will get a boost, becoming more helpful and less likely to mix up tasks. But Siri won't work with other iPhone apps right away; that's coming in a future update.

Around 30 million Americans have hearing loss in both ears, but most haven't tried hearing aids.
