AI on the Hunt for New Homes in America

Across America, people are looking at huge maps and lists. People are thinking big, talking about the future, and planning ahead for a massive project. The project's about finding new homes for AI, and it's called "Stargate. " It's a partnership between OpenAI, Oracle, and Softbank. Money is involved. A lot of it. 500 billion dollars, to be exact! Energy is another big thing. Plans are being made for Energy. State by State. Anyone can participate. OpenAI is serious about keeping energy costs low and finding clean energy. They are even considering building new energy plants, either gas or something else. The company may look at almost a dozen states. That's a wide range! 16 states, starting with three visits to Oregon, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, since this week. The first building is already under construction in Texas. The CEO of this big company, Sam Altman, is all smiles. He's already posted cool drone videos of the place. People are involved on both sides of the aisle, politicians and business people.

The project is not without its critics. They’re questioning the investment but realistically things changes rapidly OpenAI used to have a huge partnership with Microsoft. They’re breaking off to build these data centers solo. Climate change is being considered. The upsides and downsides of fossil fuels are being debated, but the end goal should be to help the climate.
