AI Story App Sees Big Growth and Plans U. S. Expansion
South Korean tech firm Wrtn has announced that its new AI-driven entertainment platform is projected to bring in over $100 million this year.
The service, known as “Crack” in Korea and “Kyarapu” in Japan, lets users step into stories where they become the main character. Unlike typical AI chatbots that merely converse, Wrtn’s tool generates novels, images and audio on the fly based on user choices—keeping each experience fresh while mitigating privacy concerns.
Quick Success Snapshot
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Launch in Korea | 2023 |
| Expansion to Japan | Early 2024 |

Users spend roughly the same amount of time on Crack/Kyarapu as they do watching Netflix or YouTube, and those who subscribe return consistently.
