Airline Testing Tech to Stop Line Cutters
Albuquerque International Sunport Airport, USASunday, October 27, 2024
How does it work? When a passenger tries to skip the line, the system lets out an audible signal. The gate agent then politely asks the passenger to step back until it’s their turn. This system allows for exceptions, like when someone is traveling with a companion who has a higher status. The airline has seen positive results so far, despite being in the early testing phase.
“We want to ensure priority boarding is used fairly, ” American Airlines stated. “This tech helps us keep an eye on the boarding process and makes it easier for our team to manage. ”
So, the next time you fly with American Airlines, don’t be surprised if you hear a little chime reminding everyone to wait their turn. Fair play is key in the skies!
