Alex Pereira’s Striking Skills Wow Ref and Send Fighter to Hospital

At UFC 307, Alex Pereira showed his might as a striker again. He ended the fight with Khalil Rountree in the fourth round. The referee, Marc Goddard, was amazed by Pereira's power. After the fight, he told Joe Rogan that he had never heard punches sound so hard in his 20 years in the sport. Goddard even used a strong word to describe them: "ungodly."

Rountree took quite a beating. His face and right eye were badly damaged. He was sent to the hospital for CT scans after the fight. This is not surprising, considering he took over 100 punches from Pereira’s strong hands. The UFC plans to get Rountree the medical help he needs. Pereira has defended his light heavyweight title three times in just seven months. Now, fans are wondering who will be his next opponent. At light heavyweight, Magomed Ankalaev is the top contender. But the UFC might not want to put Pereira against him yet because Ankalaev has a good ground game that could cause problems for Pereira.
