Apple's Next MacBook Pro Leap: 10-Core CPU and More RAM
Cupertino, USAMonday, October 28, 2024
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman hinted that these Macs will start with at least 16GB of unified RAM. That's a big deal because earlier, Apple only required 8GB, which isn't enough for heavy tasks. With 16GB, developers can work more efficiently on high-resolution textures, and even casual users will notice a difference.
Another cool feature is that the new MacBook Pro can support two external monitors while the laptop is open. This was missing in the previous M3 versions. It seems Apple might have doubled the number of Thunderbolt controllers in the new chip.
