Arizona Man Gets Five Years for Burning Tesla Trucks

A person in Arizona received a severe punishment for setting a Tesla store on fire. The judge handed down a five-year prison sentence after the individual admitted to the crime.

The Incident

The perpetrator, Ian William Moses, targeted the Tesla store in Mesa late at night. Disguised in a hoodie, cap, and mask, he carried a gas can and a backpack. He placed fire logs near the building, doused them and three Tesla cars with gasoline, and then set them ablaze.

The fire destroyed a silver Tesla Cybertruck. Moses fled the scene on a bike.

This was not an isolated incident. Last year, other Tesla stores faced similar attacks, fueled by public anger toward Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO.
