Arm Devices Struggle with Printers on Windows 11: Microsoft Offers Fix
Redmond, USAWednesday, November 6, 2024
To check if you have an Arm device, head to Settings > System > About. Under “Device specifications, ” look for “System type. ” If it says “ARM based processor, ” you’ll need to follow these steps. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, then click “Add device” to manually add your printer. This workaround should get your printer up and running until Microsoft finds a long-term fix.
Printer woes are nothing new, but at least there’s a temporary solution. It’s a bit of a hassle, but at least you can print again.
