The Erie Times‑News team, in partnership with Seaway Window and AHN Sports Medicine, is launching a fresh way to celebrate high‑school athletes in District 10.

Starting now and running through early June, the site will open a poll every Monday at 5 p.m. for “Athlete of the Week.”Categories
Separate polls exist for male and female athletes.Voting window
Voters may cast ballots online until the following Wednesday at 5 p.m., unless a change is announced.Nomination process
Fans who wish to put someone on the ballot must email:
The message should include the player’s name, school, sport, and a brief explanation of why that athlete deserves recognition for a single week’s performance.
General achievements or season totals are not accepted; the focus must be on a recent accomplishment.
Award rules
Once an athlete is chosen, they can no longer appear on future polls for the rest of the season.
