Australia's Gun Laws: Are They Really the Solution?
But is this really the case?
Australia already has some of the strictest gun laws in the world.
- Semi-automatic guns are banned.
- People have to go through a lot of paperwork to get a gun license.
- The government took away many guns from people years ago.
If gun control worked, Australia should be one of the safest places in the world.
But it is not.
The Problem is Not the Guns
The problem is the people who use them for evil.
- Many attacks in the West are caused by radical Islamist ideology.
- This is a serious threat that governments have not been honest about.
Politicians Focus on Gun Control
Instead of talking about the real problem, politicians focus on gun control.
This lets them look like they are doing something without having to deal with the harder questions.
Questions Like:
- Why extremists can operate freely in Western societies.
- Why known extremists are often on the radar before they attack.
- Why border and immigration policies prioritize openness over security.
Gun Control Makes Law-Abiding Citizens Defenseless
When the government takes away the right to self-defense, it must provide perfect security.
But no government can do that.
At Bondi Beach, innocent people were helpless because their government decided they could not be trusted with their own protection.
The Real Solution
The real solution is not more gun laws.
It is confronting radical Islamism seriously.
This means:
- Better intelligence work.
- Stricter immigration enforcement.
- Clear ideological stance.
Until Australia's leaders do this, the problem will not go away.
