Back to Normal: Helping Kids with Autism After COVID-19
Tuesday, December 3, 2024
Statistics show that about 14, 000 kids in schools have an ASD diagnosis, which is about 1. 55% of the total. When you consider the parents, teachers, assistants, and tutors involved, that's a large community that could use some support.
The T-Res team plans to develop an online transition resource that works for everyone. They'll gather insights from families and kids through surveys, and also seek advice from experts. The goal is to create something that can be quickly and effectively used once it's ready.
Once the resource is complete, the team will ensure it reaches those who need it most. This isn't just about getting back to normal; it's about making sure that normal is a place where kids with ASD can thrive.
