CMU has received two monumental donations, each totaling $40 million:
- Covenant HealthCare
- MyMichigan Health
These donations represent the largest in the university's history and will fund a new $100 million medical school building in Saginaw's "medical diamond" area. Construction is slated to begin in 2026.

The new facility will bear the name Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at CMU. However, an additional $10 million is still needed to complete the project.
