Bill Nye Blasts RFK Jr. ’s Proposed Fluoride Ban
USAThursday, November 21, 2024
Fluoride has been added to our water for decades to prevent tooth decay. While there are some risks, such as tooth discoloration with excessive intake, it remains a big hit in public health. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) even considers it one of the greatest public health achievements of the 20th century.
Kennedy has made strong claims about fluoride's dangers without much scientific backing. This isn't the only controversial stance he's taken; he’s also claimed that vaccines cause autism, which scientists have proven false. Nye hopes someone will make Kennedy reconsider his positions as they are based on little evidence.
