The study found the effects can be direct or indirect. Obstetric violence impacts mental health and well-being. This can lead to lower self-esteem and PTSD. It can also lead to a negative impact on overall life quality.
This study highlights the need for change. Policies are needed to improve maternal care. It is crucial to create respectful environments. This can help prevent trauma and ensure a better experience. A total of 385 women were part of the study, which took place over a few months.
