Bitcoin vs. Litecoin: Are They the Crypto Gold and Silver?

Ever heard how gold is stored while silver is used for daily spending? Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Litecoin have their own ways of handling value and exchange, too. Charlie Lee, the brains behind Litecoin, makes a strong point: Bitcoin is your digital gold, and Litecoin is digital silver. To prove this, we checked how often people spend coins, how long they keep them, and how many days of transactions they represent.

We even came up with a new way to value crypto assets, called the Price-to-Utility (PU) ratio. After our tests, we think Bitcoin might indeed be more like gold, kept for the long run, while Litecoin acts more like silver, used for daily transactions.
