Bitcoin's Big Year Ahead: Experts Predict Boost Under New President

As the world gets ready for a new president, Bitcoin fans are hoping for a big year. One top expert from BlackRock believes that changes in laws could really boost Bitcoin. Samara Cohen, who leads the team handling Bitcoin at BlackRock, thinks that new laws will help Bitcoin reach new heights. She mentioned some important changes like the "Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act" and clearer rules for taxes. Bitcoin has already done amazingly well, shooting up by 114% since January 2024.

Even this year, it has gained almost 8%. But Cohen warns that Bitcoin is still a risky investment and can be volatile. She thinks that over time, howmany people use Bitcoin will determine its price. BlackRock has just launched its own Bitcoin ETF. Plus, another company, Calamos Investments, is planning to release a special Bitcoin ETF right after the new president is sworn in.
