Blazers Add Youngblood to Two‑Way Roster
The Portland Trail Blazers have signed 24‑year‑old guard Chris Youngblood to a two‑way contract, giving him another chance after an early exit from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
- Youngblood went undrafted in 2025 but earned a spot with OKC as a two‑way player.
- He appeared in 32 NBA games, averaging 5.4 minutes and 2 points per game.
- In the G League with the OKC Blue, he posted impressive averages of 23.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while shooting nearly 47% from the floor.
All of Youngblood’s 50 possible NBA games were used, leading to his waiver in February. Portland’s move fills the team’s third two‑way slot, alongside guards Javonte Cooke and Caleb Love. Love will soon hit his 50‑game limit, after which he must return to the active roster. The Blazers also converted forward Sidy Cissoko’s two‑way deal into a standard contract earlier in the season.
With three two‑way spots and 15 standard contracts, Portland now has a full roster of 18 players. The addition of Youngblood provides depth and a young scorer who can contribute in both leagues.
