Blue Origin's New Glenn Rocket Launch Pushed Back Due to Technical Issue
Florida's Space Coast, USAMonday, January 13, 2025
New Glenn, designed to be reusable and capable of heavy-lift missions, isn't new to delays. Its original launch date of January 10 was also postponed, this time because of rough seas. These waters in the Atlantic Ocean are where the rocket's first stage aims to land safely on a ship called Jacklyn, named after Bezos' mother.
Although this is a setback, remember, space exploration isn't always smooth sailing. What's important is learning from these hiccups. Blue Origin is aiming high with New Glenn, their first orbital-class rocket, after successfully flying suborbital missions with New Shepard.
