Before his latest holiday comedy hits the screens, Bobby Farrelly has signed on for a new project. The film, inspired by true events and written by Aaron and Will Eisenberg, will be a family vacation comedy. Titled Sporkinfeesten, it's a story about finding your roots. Amazon MGM Studios has picked it up, with Counterbalance Entertainment, the team behind Cobra Kai, on board as producers. Details about the plot are still secret, but fans are excited to see what Farrelly brings to the table.

        Farrelly is no stranger to comedy. He directed Champions, a dramedy about the Special Olympics, and is known for hits like Dumb & Dumber and There's Something About Mary. He's also worked on TV shows and documentaries. The Eisenbergs, who wrote the script, have created horror comedies and satires. Their latest, Big Envelopes, is a college admissions satire available on Audible.

        Counterbalance Entertainment, led by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, has had success with Cobra Kai, a reimagined Karate Kid series, and other comedy projects. They partner with Amazon MGM to bring this new comedy to life.
