Boeing's Big Changes: A Year After the Door Plug Scare

A year ago, a door plug on an Alaska Airlines 737 Max 9 flew off mid-flight, causing passengers' belongings to be sucked out of the plane. Since then, Boeing has been working hard to improve safety. They've made changes in four areas: improving safety culture, training workers better, simplifying how they build planes, and fixing any problems. But safety issues keep happening. A recent crash killed 179 people, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has grounded some of Boeing's planes before due to safety concerns.

Boeing says they've fixed over 70% of the issues brought up by employees. They've also added new rules to make sure workers sign off on their work. Experts say Boeing needs to make sure safety is their top priority, not just making money. They think it'll take time for people to trust Boeing again.
