Boeing's Space Woes: More Losses Expected for Starliner Program

Well, it seems like Boeing is still facing a bumpy ride with its Starliner commercial crew program. In a recent press release, the company admitted it's bracing for some more financial hits. They're expecting to take a $400 million beating, along with some other programs like the VC-25B presidential aircraft and MQ-25 drone. This isn't the first time, either. Back in October, they warned of similar charges. So, what's the problem with Starliner? It's been a while since we got updates, but last we heard, NASA wasn't too happy with the spacecraft's performance during the Crew Flight Test mission. Some thrusters misbehaved, and astronauts had to stay on the International Space Station instead of coming home on Starliner. Since then, NASA's pushed back Starliner's first operational mission and is relying more on SpaceX's Crew Dragon.

Boeing's been quiet about Starliner since then, and they're also thinking about restructuring their business. They've hinted at ditching some projects outside of aviation and defense. Meanwhile, a venture firm predicted that both Boeing and Airbus might sell off their space divisions this year. That would definitely shake things up in the space industry!
