Kingston Literacy & Skills, a charity that's been around since 1977, has just announced a new fundraising campaign called “25 in 25”. They're asking locals to chip in $25 each month in 2025 to keep their programs running and growing. These programs help adults improve skills like reading, writing, math, and even job prep. The organization has two locations, one on Bath Road in Kingston and another in Napanee. Their programs are pretty comprehensive, offering everything from digital skills to financial literacy. They even have a special program for newcomers' kids, so parents can focus on learning the language. All these services depend on donations, as government funding only covers part of the cost.
