Boosting Preteen Girls' Activity: A Mom-Daughter Mobile Health Project
Tuesday, January 7, 2025
The project team knows that every family is different. So, they're making sure the project can be adjusted based on what works best for each mom and daughter pair. They're also checking how well the project is working and changing it as needed. The goal is to create something real and useful, not just a one-size-fits-all solution.
A key part of this project is making sure it's based on real evidence and good theories about how to change behavior. This means taking into account what we already know from research and experts. It also means listening to what moms and girls have to say about what would help them most.
In the end, the hope is that this project will show how important it is to involve families in designing health interventions. And maybe, just maybe, it will help more preteen girls find the joy in moving their bodies.
