Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson recently revealed some surprising health complications he faced before his fight with Jake Paul. The match, which took place on November 15, was initially scheduled for July 20 but was postponed due to Tyson's health issues. Mike Tyson shared that he almost died in June and had to undergo eight blood transfusions, losing half his blood and 25 pounds during his hospital stay. Despite these challenges, he made a remarkable comeback. This fight was a highly anticipated event that streamed live on Netflix from Arlington, Texas.

Tyson opened up about his recovery journey in Netflix's docuseries "Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson. " He discussed his ulcer, which was two-and-a-half inches and bleeding, and the shock he felt when the doctor did not assuredly say he wouldn't die. After his recovery, Tyson had to restart his training from scratch, losing a lot of his stamina and coordination. The match went for eight rounds, and although Jake Paul was declared the winner by three judges, Tyson saw his appearance in the ring as a victory in itself. Tyson expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to show his children that he could stand toe-to-toe with a much younger fighter.
