Brucellosis Among Farmworkers: Knowledge, Attitudes, and Health in Indonesia
BoyolaliCilawu, IndonesiaWednesday, January 8, 2025
Results? In Boyolali, 3. 3% of respondents tested positive for RBT, while in Cilawu, that number jumped to 7. 01%. However, CFT results showed something different: 5. 3% of respondents were positive in Cilawu, but none in Boyolali.
Despite the tests, the study revealed that many farmworkers lacked proper understanding and positive attitudes towards human brucellosis. While their work practices for maintaining healthy cattle were good, their personal health care was wanting.
This study highlights the urgent need for action. Public health professionals and policymakers must step in to provide regular health education and ensure the availability of personal protective equipment for these farmworkers.
