Buena Vista, VA – A significant boost is on the horizon for Buena Vista as Modine, a Racine, Wisconsin-based company, announces a $19.6 million expansion of its local facility. The project includes the construction of new warehouses, offices, and testing spaces, marking a substantial investment in the community.

The expansion is expected to create 57 new jobs, adding to the 300 employees already working at the facility. Mayor Tyson Cooper expressed enthusiasm about the project, calling it a strong vote of confidence in Buena Vista.

State Support and Past Investments

The project is supported by a $300,000 grant from the Commonwealth Opportunity Fund, approved by outgoing Governor Glenn Youngkin. This isn't Modine's first major investment in the area—last year, they announced an $18.1 million data-center project in Rockbridge County, creating over 200 new jobs.
