Voters Approve Major Construction Projects

Voters in School District 742 have approved two significant construction projects for Apollo Campus:

1. Storm Shelter and Secure Entrance
2. New Multi-Purpose Athletic Facility

Both projects are scheduled to begin in 2026.

Storm Shelter Project

• Seven-Phase Construction
• Start Date: Summer 2026
• Completion: Through the 2026-2027 school year
• Impact: Some building areas will be temporarily inaccessible.
• Early Work:
• Ambulance bay
• EMT classrooms
• Additional Plans:
• Moving a shed near the pool to accommodate construction.

Athletic Facility

• New Building Construction
• Start Date: Spring 2026 (South side of campus)
• Completion: Spring 2027
• Additional Features:
• Expanded parking to manage increased traffic.
• Signage to guide visitors from campus and nearby roads.

Other School Updates

• Staffing Needs:
• Seeking substitute teachers and paraprofessionals.
• Apply on the district's employment website.
• Contract Settlements:
• Three contracts already settled.
• Aiming to finalize remaining contracts by year-end.

• Tech Girls Volleyball Team:
• Earned "gold status" as an All-State academic team.
