In Texas, everyone's talking about the economy, but they're worried about things like healthcare. And Texas citizens are tired of waiting for progress. Nowadays, civic engagement hasn't been working well. People aren't coming together to solve problems. But Texas business leaders have a chance to take action, and most of them say they agree. In a survey, 9 out of 10 business figures from all over the state stress that democratic participation is crucial for a healthy economy. For a lot of them, their voice really matters. Public policy discussions happen every day, and businesses know their participation can cause a ripple effect. But notice how they point out a lack of bipartisanship in their own homes. Businesses are worried about political violence; they are grappling with complex issues, and they are stuck not knowing what to do and when.

By being involved, and engaged, business leaders can create a Texas that is vibrant, prosperous and business friendly. This will lift the voices of our state’s business leaders, offering opportunities and perspectives that align with their civic needs. Citizens are calling on them to get involved. They are the ones who can make the difference. They are now our bridge builders.
