Casting Magic: New Faces for the Harry Potter TV Series
Leavesden Studios, UKMonday, April 14, 2025
The TV series will delve deep into each of Rowling’s novels, with a plan to run for 10 consecutive years. The original films, released between 2001 and 2011, covered the first seven books. The two longest novels, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, might get extra seasons. However, the details on how much time will be devoted to each novel per season are still unclear. The prequel books under the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise will not be part of the series. They might be casually introduced like in the films when the young Hogwarts students read them as part of their curriculum.
Casting is still underway for major roles, including Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione. Production is set to begin this summer at Leavesden Studios, around 20 miles from London. The newly cast actors have received many awards and accolades for their contributions to film and television.
