Celebrate Easter with These Local Church Services

Easter Services around the South Suburbs This Easter season, many churches in the South Suburbs are offering various services and activities to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Here's a list of some of the Easter services and events happening in the area: * St. John the Evangelist Church in Flossmoor will hold an Easter Vigil at 8 p.m. on March 30, followed by Easter services on March 31. The services include Holy Eucharist Rite I at 8 a.m., Sunday school at 9 a.m., Trinity Lutheran Chapel worship service at 9 a.m. in the resource room, and Holy Eucharist Rite II at 10:15 a.m. An Easter egg hunt is also planned for 11:30 a.m. on the church lawn. * Crete United Methodist Church will hold an Easter service at 10 a.m. on March 31. The service will be one of joy, music, and song celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. * Hickory Creek Church in Frankfort will hold Easter services at 5 p.m. on March 30 and 8, 9:30, and 11 a.m. on March 31. Easter Day services on March 31 will be held at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and a Mass in Spanish at 1:30 p.m. * Anchor Church in Palos Heights will hold a Step 1 session from 10:30 to 11 a.m. or 12:30 to 1 p.m. on April 7. The session will be an information-gathering opportunity for adults to learn more about Anchor Palos and meet Pastor Ryan. * Trinity Lutheran Church in Tinley Park will hold a six-week session titled Made to Crave, starting on April 8 or April 9. The program is designed to help people reach their health goals and grow closer to God by gaining motivation to accomplish their goals in a weight-loss journey.
