Celebrating Half a Century of Farm Innovation
Giltner, NE, USASaturday, June 20, 2026
Harvey’s grandson, Andrew Bish, runs the day‑to‑day operations today. He shares his grandfather’s love for invention. Back in the 1950s, Harvey already held a patent for a corn‑shelling attachment that could be added to any combine. That early innovation set the tone for a company built on “fixing what others couldn’t. ”
Harvey’s son, Brad Bish, joined the family business in 1983. He recalls that money was never the main goal for his father; instead, it was a passion for tinkering and proving people wrong. Brad helped grow the company into a maker of custom harvesters, including its first 16‑row corn head in 1991. These milestones broadened the company’s reach beyond Nebraska.
Today, Bish Enterprises celebrates its 50th anniversary with an open house. The event invites the community to explore how a simple shop in a cornfield evolved into a leader in agricultural technology, all while staying true to the original mission of practical solutions for farmers.
