Celebs Pitch In Big for Wildfire Relief

Pop singer Beyoncé is donating a massive $2. 5 million to help those affected by the recent wildfires in Southern California. She announced this on her Instagram post, encouraging fans to contribute and learn more at Beygood. org. Beyoncé's contribution will specifically assist families in Altadena and Pasadena who lost their homes, as well as churches and community centers in need. Rock band Metallica is also stepping up, donating $500, 000 from their All Within My Hands Foundation. This money will be divided equally between the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and the Pasadena Community Foundation’s Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.

Actress Eva Longoria is giving a hefty $1 million from a $50 million award she received. This amount will go towards both immediate and long-term recovery needs for those hit by the Palisades and Eaton fires. Earlier, she had already donated $50, 000, which will match donations to This Is About Humanity. Paris Hilton, whose home was destroyed in the Palisades Fire, is donating $100, 000 from her 11:11 Media Impact non-profit, plus an additional $100, 000 in matching donations to help families with young children. Many other celebrities, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Douglas, and members of the Kardashian family, have also pledged to donate, although the amounts haven't been specified.
