The study also looked at how hospitals (public vs. private) and other factors affected the results. They found that education helped, but depression, anxiety, smoking, and certain health issues hurt the scores. Big tears only mattered for one score (Constant-Score).
So, what's the takeaway? This study could help a lot of people in Switzerland. But there's more work to do. We need to figure out the best ways to measure results and compare different surgeons and treatments.
