Checking Out a Fancy Monitor for Stroke Patients' Workouts
Friday, January 24, 2025
They did some experiments with people who had recently had a stroke. The participants walked and reached while wearing the ASP. The respiratory gas analyzer was also there, acting like the smart teacher grading both students.
After comparing the results, they found out that the ASP did a pretty good job, but it wasn't always spot on. It seemed to work best when people were walking but not so much when they were reaching.
So, what does this all mean? Well, this device could be handy for tracking walking activities, but it might not be the best for monitoring reaching tasks. It's important to keep these little details in mind when using such tools.
