Clean Up Your Windows 11 Lock Screen: Ditch Those Annoying Widgets!
USAMonday, October 7, 2024
For Windows 11 users, open the Settings app via the Start menu or by pressing Windows + I on your keyboard. Head over to Personalization, then select Lock screen from the sidebar. You'll see an option called "Lock screen Status" with a dropdown menu. By default, it says "Weather and more." Change that to "None."
While you’re at it, uncheck the box for "Get fun facts, tips, tricks, and more on your lock screen" for a tidier look.
And if you're still using Windows 10, don’t think you’re off the hook! The process is similar. Go to Settings, then Personalization, and choose Lock screen. Look for "Choose one app to show detailed status on the lock screen" and change it from "Weather and more" to "None."
Now your lock screen will be nice and tidy without those unwanted widgets!
