Cleveland Clinic Expands Rehab Services in Erie
Cleveland Clinic is making a comeback in Erie with a new physical therapy clinic. The Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy opened on January 20 at 3266 W. 26th St. This initiative is a collaboration with Physicians Rehab Solutions, aiming to enhance rehab services in the area.
A First-of-Its-Kind Partnership
The clinic is the first under this partnership. Tom Pennington, CEO of Physicians Rehab Solutions, emphasized the potential of the collaboration. He noted that combining Cleveland Clinic's expertise with their long history of quality rehab services could significantly improve patient care and access to rehab.
A Familiar Presence in Erie
This isn't Cleveland Clinic's first venture in Erie. They've had ties with local hospitals like Hamot Medical Center and Saint Vincent Hospital in the past. Now, they're focusing on outpatient rehab services with this new clinic.
A Strong Track Record
Gary Calabrese, Cleveland Clinic's senior director of rehabilitation and sports medicine, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership. He highlighted that Physicians Rehab Solutions has a strong track record of managing and growing outpatient rehab clinics over the past 27 years.
Expanding Reach and Impact
The new clinic is part of Cleveland Clinic's broader strategy to expand its reach and impact in the region. With this move, they're not just offering physical therapy but also aiming to set a higher standard for rehab services.
