At the heart of this dispute lies Google's discontent with Microsoft's licensing fees for Windows Server. Google believes these fees are unfair and is pushing for European authorities to intervene. Meanwhile, Microsoft maintains that Google is just attempting to sway legal decisions in their favor. The two tech giants have a long history of tension, including past issues like Google's refusal to develop YouTube apps for Windows Phone.
