College Leaders: Failing to Stop Antisemitism?

University officials might not be handling antisemitism as seriously as they should. Take Harvard for example. Their former president, Claudine Gay, preferred to keep student protesters happy instead of speaking out against their aggressive behavior. Even when Hamas attacked Israel and killed 1, 200 people, she didn't want to call it "violent. " Other schools like Northwestern and UCLA weren't much better. They let antisemitic protests and violence happen without taking proper action. It seems these university leaders care more about their public image than protecting their Jewish students.

Worryingly, the problem goes beyond just ignoring the issue. Some university leaders are actually afraid of being watched by Congress. They call those who ask tough questions "purveyors of hate, " which is really unfair. It's like they're saying, "Don't bother us with this antisemitism issue, we'd rather just look the other way.
