Colt Knost: From Golf Course to TV Booth
Former PGA Tour Player Swaps On-Course Role for Analyst Spot
Colt Knost, a former PGA Tour player, is making a significant career shift. He is transitioning from his role as an on-course reporter to a spot in the CBS Sports booth as an analyst, starting with the 2026 PGA Tour season.
A New Chapter Begins
Knost will replace Ian Baker-Finch, who retired after 18 years with CBS. He will join Jim Nantz, Trevor Immelman, and Frank Nobilo in the Super Tower. Knost expressed his excitement on X, calling it the biggest honor of his golf career.
The 2026 tour season kicks off on January 31 with the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
A Journey of Growth

An Impressive Resume
Knost's golf career is decorated. He won the 2007 U.S. Amateur and U.S. Public Links titles, and represented the U.S. at the Walker Cup that year. Turning professional in 2009, he made 92 cuts in 199 events without a win but accumulated $4.3 million in career earnings.
A Valued Voice
