COMMENTS On The Department of Education

Education, or lack of it, is a hot topic nowadays. Some folks think that the Department of Education isn't pulling its weight. They believe that the federal division hasn't been effective for a long time. Some people think that it really doesn't matter when schools are only places to socialize. Some people wonder what else could we be doing with all that money. They believe that the Department of Education can't do what it's supposed to, so maybe the money could be better spent than on the federal department. They think the money could be better used by staying local, by supporting states and communities. They wonder why they can't take care of things on their own, and if that doesn't make sense, maybe things aren't right in the first place. Some believe that the people who are the educational hawkish are not thinking things through, they believe this is about emotions. These kinds of thoughts are likely from a place where people might be emotional. The citizens might think that the amount of money being spent is wasted on issues that have nothing to do with the content of the education. The citizens might feel that the money is being wasted since the effectiveness of their educational programs are not being maximized.

Maybe they should think about what the actual problem is or what the real issue might be?
