In the face of escalating gun violence, a Baton Rouge community is rallying together in prayer for the safety of students and teachers as the new school year approaches.

Cathy Toliver, the grandmother of Devin Page Jr., who tragically lost his life to a stray bullet while sleeping in his bed in April 2022, has taken it upon herself to host a powerful back-to-school prayer at the 100 Black Men headquarters on North Foster Drive this Saturday at noon. This event aims to bless the upcoming school year and bring solace to those affected by the ongoing gun violence epidemic.
