Container Park Opens in Atlantic City: A Fresh Twist on Food and Fun

A new spot is coming to Atlantic City’s Orange Loop that turns old shipping containers into cool places for food, shopping and fun. The project is called AC Container Park and will cost about $6 million to build. It sits on an empty lot at 1400 Pacific Ave., right where Tennessee Avenue meets the street.

What’s Inside

• 22 repurposed containers: restaurants, boutiques, community rooms
• 14 leases confirmed: food stalls, craft shops, non‑profit offices
• One container will double as an urban farm stand selling eggs and fresh produce

The developer says the design will bring a fresh vibe to the neighborhood. He added that many of the containers already have signed leases, so the place should be busy when it opens.

• Expected opening: October or November
• A few more leases still being negotiated
• By the time it opens, all 22 containers should be filled

Behind the Project

• MAP 3 Partners: developer, former Hard Rock executive Adam Zengel, educator Paige Washington
• State grant: almost $2.5 million from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s Activation, Revitalization and Transformation Program

AC Container Park is the first container‑based development for its developer, who has long been involved in the Orange Loop area. He sees this project as a way to add new life and diversity to the community while keeping the space affordable for small businesses.
